Olympia Trust asked us to create a sponsor video for their Investor Relations conference. Their previous year’s video, also made by us, had been a huge success, and they wanted to top it. This time, we had a reduced budget and a tighter deadline.
When our production team was spread across the country, travel costs threatened our budget. Our solution? Partnering with a local videographer and directing the entire shoot via Zoom. Capturing the best performances from Olympia Trust’s team while ensuring video quality and perfect camera setups was challenging. Using Zoom as our command center, we guided the local crew through every step, leveraging phones and laptops for real-time adjustments. Through effective remote collaboration, we overcame distance barriers to deliver exceptional results.
Once the footage was captured, our local crew uploaded it to the cloud, and our editors sprang into action. Though it may look like a simple Zoom call, editing this project was challenging. We needed convincing graphics to mimic a Zoom call and seamless performances. Our solution: meticulously crafted custom graphics and strategic cuts between gallery and speaker views to make it appear everyone was together, even though they were filmed separately. The result? A polished, professional video that exceeded client expectations.
When delivering a video, we include two rounds of revisions to ensure perfection. Managing feedback via emails is challenging, so we use Frame.io, a cloud-based platform. Clients log time-stamped comments, allowing efficient tracking and implementation of feedback. Editors receive notifications to promptly address changes, ensuring all feedback is captured in one place for a final product that meets specifications.
