When Mercedes AMG Formula One committed to Net Zero by 2030, they turned to mCloud Technology to reduce energy consumption at their Brackley headquarters. We were tasked with creating a video to share this journey. Coordinating with stakeholders across time zones and meeting Mercedes AMG’s visual standards was challenging. Through innovative collaboration and meticulous planning, we navigated time zone differences and implemented an additional approval process for all visuals. The result was a compelling video showcasing Mercedes AMG’s dedication to sustainability and mCloud’s technology.
For our video collaboration with Mercedes, all the footage was provided by their elite internal production team. They filmed CEO Toto Wolff delivering a powerful message from a carefully crafted script, read flawlessly off a teleprompter.
Once the footage was delivered to us via FTP, we dove into the treasure trove of captivating visuals. Our team meticulously reviewed each clip, selecting the most compelling shots to create a cohesive and engaging story.
The video's success hinged on music and dynamic pacing, though initial challenges arose when the client wasn't satisfied with our sourced tracks. To remedy this, we granted access to our extensive music library for them to select two favorites. Integrating these into a cohesive hybrid score posed a new challenge, alongside seamlessly incorporating stunning visuals.
Working with Mercedes AMG was a joy, especially with their exceptional footage. However, selecting the right clips proved difficult. Another hurdle emerged: lacking footage of Mercedes' team interacting with mCloud's dashboards at Brackley. To address this, we conducted an additional shoot to capture these interactions, highlighting both the facility and the partnership with mCloud.
Despite thorough planning and collaboration, finalizing the video approval process proved challenging. Key hurdles included replacing shots featuring former partners and team members, and securing approvals from Mercedes AMG Formula One, mCloud, and Mercedes-Benz Group. Our solution involved swiftly replacing shots to meet everyone's standards. After approval, we delivered versions tailored for diverse platforms: Instagram Reels, accessible captions, and a high-resolution master. The result? A polished, versatile video ready to engage audiences on social media.
